This 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari is designed for someone who has less time to spend but is interested Gorilla tracking and experiencing a bit of culture and history of Rwanda.
Gorillas in Rwanda are the easiest to trek, the treks can range from one to six hours of trekking. in case you have a problem with longer treks you only need to talk to your guide to ask for an easier trekking group.
This 4-day safari starts and ends in Kigali, Upon Arrival at the Kigali International Airport meet and greet with our representative, you will be driven for 20 to 30 minutes to the hotel of your choice for overnight stay on Bed & Breakfast. The following day after a visit to the fast growing and the cleanest city in Africa- Kigali experiencing the culture and the history of the city. Lunch in Kigali it will be time for 2 hours transfer to the legendary Volcanoes National Park, home to Rwanda’s habituated Gorilla families. Where you will enjoy Gorilla tracking, community walk and Golden monkey tracking before returning back to Kigali.
Unlike the Uganda’s Bwindi Forest National Park that is covered with tropical rain forest, volcanoes national park is covered with Bamboo Forest and the experience of tracking these mountain gentle giants on Virunga slopes is just magical nothing beats this.
Tracking Gorillas requires some bit of physical fitness for your own good on the trek, age is not a problem here we have previously booked people as only as 90 years and have successfully tracked Gorillas.
On your Gorilla tracking day, after briefing from the park officials you will be allocated tracking families in the groups of 8 people maximum, finally your long-awaited experience is here, head to the jungle and enjoy the gorillas. You will be allowed one hour to stay with the Gorillas when you finally meet them, head back to the starting point and transfer to your lodge for relaxation. You also have an option of exploring the community in the evening to learn more about the people and culture of Rwanda.
On the last day of your time at volcanoes you will head to the park for Golden Monkey tracking, there are 2 habituated Golden Monkey groups that can be tracked on the slopes of Karisimbi and on Mount Sabinyo just like Gorilla tracking Golden Monkey also starts at 07.00am at Kinigi for briefing. After the trek you will find your guide for the transfer back to Kigali.
