Our 4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park wildlife safari experience will take you to the country’s most remote and semi-arid parts with in the Karamoja region. The Park is the 2nd Largest National Park in the country with an area of about 1,440km square kilometers at an altitude of between 914m and 2,750m being the highest. Because of the long drive approximate 700 km from Kampala, the park is majorly accessed by air with the scheduled flights from Entebbe airport by Aerolink Uganda and Kampala Executive Aviation from Kajjansi airstrip.
The Park is a home to over 77 mammal species and 475 bird species.
A trip to Kidepo National Park is one that never disappoints, the park has the biggest animal numbers and the scenery itself is so spectacular. The Park has majorly 2 drives Narus Valley and Kidepo Valley drives, Narus Valley drive has more animal numbers and these can be easily seen when they congregate at the only permanent water sources in the park, best time for the game drives is at 06am and at 04pm the other drive in the park is the Kidepo Valley drive fewer animals but the best scenery.
While on the game drives, be alert to spot the lions are usually seated on the numerous rocks, leopards, cheetahs, ostriches, elephants amongst other animals.
The trip to Kidepo also offers you an opportunity to learn about the people and cultures of the communities surrounding the park including the Karamajong and the IK tribe.
